Wipro, a global leader in IT services, consulting, and business process solutions, has elevated Shree Mahapatra to the position of Talent Leader – India Lateral & Global Leadership, further strengthening its people strategy in a competitive and rapidly evolving talent landscape.
In her new role, Ms. Mahapatra will lead India’s lateral hiring portfolio while steering global leadership acquisition strategies, enabling Wipro to align talent planning with its global growth ambitions.
With an extensive career spanning nearly two decades in strategic hiring and talent management, Ms. Mahapatra has been an integral part of Wipro since 2019, most recently serving as Director – Strategic Leadership Hiring. Prior to this, she held leadership positions at Tata Communications, where she oversaw global recruitment for Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Products & Security services across multiple geographies, and at AXA, where she led HR for Asset Management and Financial Services. Her earlier tenure at Wipro from 2007 to 2015 saw her heading staffing for the Capital Markets business across India, further deepening her domain expertise.
Her promotion reflects Wipro’s commitment to recognizing homegrown leadership while integrating diverse industry experiences to strengthen its global talent capabilities.
