HRostrum NewsDesk | July 2026

India’s HR leadership landscape continues to witness significant transitions, and among the noteworthy appointments of July 2026 is Arsh Rachit’s move to Kapiva as its Chief Human Resources Officer. After an impactful journey spanning more than seven years at PhonePe, Arsh has taken on the responsibility of leading the people strategy for one of India’s fastest-growing Ayurvedic and wellness brands. His appointment reflects the increasing demand for HR leaders who combine business acumen with the ability to build high-performance organizations capable of sustaining rapid growth.

At Kapiva, Arsh assumes the role of Chief Human Resources Officer with a clear focus on building a high-performance organisation by aligning people practices with business strategy. According to his professional profile, his leadership philosophy centres on leveraging HR, talent management and strategic problem-solving to create an environment where talent can thrive while directly supporting organisational objectives.

Arsh brings with him nearly two decades of rich and diverse HR experience across fintech, technology, retail, FMCG, manufacturing and banking. Prior to joining Kapiva, he spent over seven years at PhonePe, where he held key leadership positions including Head – HR Business Partner and later Head – HR Centres of Excellence & International. In his most recent role, he led several critical HR functions including Compensation & Benefits, Employer Branding, HR Products, HR Operations, HR Systems and Talent Management, playing a significant role in strengthening PhonePe’s people ecosystem during a period of rapid business expansion.

Before PhonePe, Arsh served as Head of Human Resources for Gap Inc. Technologies, where he played an instrumental role in establishing the company’s Global Capability Centre in India. During this phase, he helped scale the organisation from approximately 20 employees to nearly 500 while designing HR practices across talent acquisition, talent management and compensation & benefits. His career also includes leadership assignments with GE Appliances, where he managed HR during the business transition to Haier, Standard Chartered Bank, where he led regional talent acquisition and leadership hiring across Asia, PepsiCo, GSK Consumer Healthcare and Hero Honda Motors, providing him with a well-rounded perspective across multiple industries and business models.

Arsh’s appointment comes at a time when organisations are increasingly looking beyond traditional HR administration and seeking leaders capable of driving business transformation through people. Companies today expect their CHROs to build agile organisations, strengthen leadership pipelines, enhance employee experience and create future-ready workforces while navigating rapid technological change. His experience in scaling high-growth businesses and building robust HR Centres of Excellence positions him well to contribute to Kapiva’s next phase of expansion.

The move also reflects a broader trend within India’s HR ecosystem, where seasoned HR leaders from technology and digital-first organisations are increasingly taking on leadership roles across consumer and growth-stage businesses. As organisations compete for talent and accelerate transformation initiatives, experienced people leaders who understand both business growth and organisational capability development are becoming invaluable strategic partners to leadership teams.

HRostrum congratulates Arsh Rachit on his appointment as Chief Human Resources Officer at Kapiva and wishes him continued success as he leads the company’s people agenda and contributes to building a high-performance organisation for the future.
