HRostrum NewsDesk | Apr 2026

In a significant leadership development, Tata Electronics has appointed Arti Sharma as Vice President – Human Resources for its FAB Semiconductor business. The move comes at a crucial time as the company accelerates its greenfield semiconductor manufacturing ambitions in India.

Arti Sharma brings over three decades of extensive HR leadership experience, with a strong track record in driving large-scale workforce transformation, talent strategy, and organizational development across complex manufacturing and global supply chain ecosystems. In her new role, she will lead the people strategy for Tata Electronics’ semiconductor FAB project, focusing on building a future-ready workforce aligned with the company’s long-term growth vision.

Prior to this, Arti held senior leadership roles at Schneider Electric, where she led HR strategy for multiple factories and managed critical areas such as talent acquisition, succession planning, employee relations, and change management. Her experience includes working closely with global stakeholders and leading large technical teams, making her well-positioned to handle the talent complexities of semiconductor manufacturing.

Her appointment highlights Tata Electronics’ strategic focus on strengthening its human capital foundation as it builds capabilities in the highly specialized semiconductor domain. With India aiming to establish itself as a key player in the global semiconductor value chain, leadership roles such as this are becoming pivotal in bridging the talent gap and enabling scalable growth.

Arti’s expertise in aligning HR strategy with business outcomes, coupled with her experience in driving organizational change and performance excellence, is expected to play a critical role in shaping the workforce and culture required for this ambitious initiative.
This leadership move reinforces the growing importance of HR as a strategic driver in emerging sectors like semiconductors. As organizations invest heavily in infrastructure and technology, the parallel investment in leadership and talent strategy will determine the pace and sustainability of India’s rise in the global semiconductor landscape.

HRostrum Congratulates Arti Sharma on this significant milestone and wishes her continued success in shaping the future of Tata Electronics’ semiconductor journey
